If you ever looked at spicing up the interior you might have come across the TRD start button as some more TRD flair. It features a red button with white text and a green back glow when ready.
Unfortunately if you want to buy this, you’ll need to buy the entire push button mechanism which will cost easily more than a 100 euros/dollars. Especially now when they’re getting more rare.

However I came across a different way to gain (almost) the same flair while being much cheaper, in the form of just the button face replacement. On sites like AliExpress replacement faces can be bought for much much less. Make sure to buy the one without the hole for light as those won’t fit.
While installation is not as easy as replacing the entire unit, it does have the advantage that you don’t have an extra start switch laying around collecting dust. And the default lighting on the switch is red instead of green like the real TRD one.
If you happen to have a Subaru BRZ this of course also works for a STI start stop button, just look around and the replacement procedure is exactly the same.
